Differentiate between conservative and surgical treatment options for ingrown toenails based on severity and patient presentation.
Screen patients for risk factors, such as improper nail care or trauma, that may contribute to recurrent ingrown toenails.
Implement evidence-based conservative treatments, including proper nail trimming techniques and infection management, to reduce the need for surgical intervention.
Communicate interprofessional team strategies to improve coordination and communication between health care professionals, improving patient outcomes.
