Identify appropriate candidates for cardiopulmonary bypass based on surgical indications and patient characteristics.
Differentiate between venous and arterial cannulation techniques for cardiopulmonary bypass initiation.
Assess cardiopulmonary bypass circuit function and patient response during bypass, including monitoring vital signs and blood gases.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with the interprofessional healthcare team, including anesthesia providers and surgical team members, to optimize perioperative care and patient outcomes.
