Differentiate the common physical and chemical lesions of the oral mucosa in terms of etiology, physical features, and clinical course.
Implement the necessary diagnostic tests to determine the etiology of oral mucosal lesions, especially if a potentially life-threatening disease is suspected.
Create tailored patient education strategies to address behaviors and exposures that contribute to physical and chemical lesions of the oral mucosa.
Collaborate with the interprofessional team to educate, treat, and monitor patients with physical and chemical oral mucosal lesions to improve patient outcomes.
