Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
Differentiate HSIL from other cervical lesions, such as atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance (ASC-US), low-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (LSIL), and invasive carcinoma.
Apply knowledge of the histopathological and cytological features that define HSIL and the associated risk factors, particularly human papillomavirus (HPV) infection.
Implement evidence-based management strategies for HSIL while understanding the indications, benefits, and potential risks of the different treatment modalities.
Collaborate with the interprofessional team to ensure accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment selection, and comprehensive care for patients with HSIL.
