Activity Description

Chronic fatigue syndrome, also known as myalgic encephalomyelitis, is a complex multisystem disease commonly characterized by severe fatigue, cognitive dysfunction, sleep problems, autonomic dysfunction, and post-exertional malaise, which can severely impair patients' ability to conduct the activities of daily living. • Review the appropriate evaluation of chronic fatigue syndrome.
  • Outline the management options available for chronic fatigue syndrome.
  • Describe interprofessional team strategies for improving care coordination and communication to ensure the best outcomes for patients with chronic fatigue syndrome.

The presentations was excellent. UGH, the evaluation section was so long, repetitive and tedious. It took almost as long to do that as to read the educational portion. You should have 2 different options, one to satisfy CME’s and one for MOC. This is my first activity after subscribing. I hope that all the evaluations aren’t like this one. I will probably just read the articles and forego the CME’s if they are.

This CME activity promotes outdated and harmful treatment recommendations for MECFS. They go against CDC guidelines. Providers will cause serious harm to their patients if they use this Cme to update their knowledge. Bad bad bad!!!!! Will no longer be using this CE service!
