At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be better able to:
Differentiate asbestosis from other interstitial lung diseases through clinical presentation and diagnostic imaging.
Screen at-risk populations by taking detailed occupational histories and ordering appropriate imaging and pulmonary function tests.
Assess the severity and progression of asbestosis using pulmonary function tests and high-resolution computed tomography scans.
Communicate the interprofessional team strategies for improving care coordination to advance asbestosis management and improve outcomes.
